Marina Floreancig is a mixed media visual artist from an Ital-Australian background.

Her work empowers the figurative 'line' which at once is a conduit for the memory, experience and emotion of the landscapes she creates.

The line is not used as a static symbol but as a medium in its own right that chronicles the journey and place-making experiences borne from it.

Sometimes fluid, sometimes staccato, sometimes linear and even organic, the line ultimately has a metaphysical signature.

The terrain it creates is often like the richness of an archaeological excavation on canvas but also allows it to jump time and space.

The works culminate in a beyond horizon effect - borderless yet defined, empiric yet lyrical. They speak of searching, curiosity and hope - the essence of the human spirit.
